ive had a x reg ts50 for 2 days and im not old enough to tke my test yet but ive been ridin it up my lane since i gt it. its a bit slow and i was wondering if any one could give me any suggestions to make it go faster cause my dads got a zzr1100 and it goes 200mph and his mates have all got race bikes and i wana look a bit better when i go out riding with them.
Ts 50x is a realy strong bike and is good at corners i have a big bore 80cc, 120mm jets, k&a air filter, bigger exhaust and have had the gear ratio tuned and even a 45 tooth back sproket and a bigger carb a hotter spark plug. I payed £150 for the bike and over all i have spend £300 the bike was stolen and recoverd had no clocks or lights or really anything. the ts 50 is really good fun iam always out on it when ever i can it is ok on the petrol but its only a 50cc motor bike so u should hope on much i have only had 68 on my bike with all the mods so it is ok the wiring can mess up as i found out but now the bike is done i really think it was worth it
only just got my bike(rode it for the first time yesterday) but so far i think it is awesome, it is a good road or field bike, i have a sports exhaust on it and it goes very fast for a 50. however i have already found it struggles to go up hills in anything but 1st or 2nd. are there any recomendations for getting more torques?
handles well, looks good
struggles up hills

look guys i have read all what u have wrote im 16 have a 2001 ts50x at first yep u guest went 33 pushing 35(downhill) then i spoke to the garage they got in touch with a suzuki dealer and asked the bloke they got back to me and said the bike is resrticted and i was like yeah i guessed that so they d restricted then said ill get a bit more out of it but they said for 180 will put a brand new older type of cyclinder and piston kit rings ect so this made it still leagal learner for 16 cause the older ts50x used to be able to get top speed pf about 55mph whichj explains why some people on here can get it that fast but i had that done can get 45-50 out of it happy way to good acceleration for its own good though lol lovin the bike gonna put more mods on it ill get back to u when i do.
ive got a ts50 and i think its a good bike to learn on and to do up.
good sites for it are 50cc.nl xs.spares wemoto beepspeed
if you are restoring anderson vintage parts is good.
it will only go aroung 30mph it has 5 gears. the brakes and suspensions alright but known not to be the best. also they are air cooled so dont know if they will over heat.
things ive done to make it faster are
bore kit 70cc main jet 85 instead of 67.5 sports exhaust ganelli black with alloy can (sounds good) 14 tooth front sprocket not 12
know mine goes about 50-60mph
other things you can do are k&n air filter boyson reed valves mallosi carb 20mm instead of standard mikiuni 12mm smaller back sproket and bigger front for top end speed
i dont know if the cdi unit is restricted i dont think it is, its mainly a washer where the exhaust meats the engine (sports exhausts dont have it or baffles the ganelli is a straight throw can) but if you wanted to keep the original you could cut it out. and the carb main jet is to small get an 85 .
if you do everything it might push 70mph
also bridge motorcycles in exeter take parts orders and cms of venny bridge exeter
it start first time top speed of 65mph with a big bore kit very good exceleration i use it off road with big chunky tyres its my fist bike but i am learning to ride and go on mx tracks and hopeing to up grade my bike wons i have the hang of it i am hopeing for a kx 80 as i am only 13 years old but my ts50x will stay in my head for eva but i am going to get straight back on a ts50x when im 16 i cant weight.
I've just bought a 2002 TS 50 for my son, It has a DEP exhaust can on it. No other mods but will only do 35 Mph. I don't want to do the full head, piston, sprocket, Big One Exhaust change kit, but how do you de-restrict a standard one.
This bike is really good. i have just brought one with low millage and is still restricted. So the engine has not been thrashed to much. Even though its restricted it still goes really well. Once you get the hang of the gears you soon get up to 30 -35mph. You might think this is slow but for a restricted bike that is good. Plus the acceleration is really good. My chain needs to be tightened a bit though but this is not hard to do. Daniel
My wee TS and I have been together for going on a year now, and it's been great times. I live downtown in a city of three-quarters of a million in Japan, so it's a fine weapon for carving up traffic or escaping the town to explore mountains and riverbeds. It's a 2001, and I bought it for 80,000 Yen (what is that, about 400 quid?). I've spent nary a penny on repairs, and the 100mpg fuel economy and 8000 Yen per year insurance mean it's a blissfully wallet-friendly ownership experience. The only trouble is it's electronically limited to 60km/h, with rev limiting in 4th, 5th and 6th gears. Can anyone suggest how to disable this godforsaken limiter?! It would be fast enough for my needs, otherwise. I'm currently looking into the possibility of supermotard-ing the thing with a set of Bridgestone Battleaxe tyres.
