I've been driving a 1984 Nissan Stanza for about 2 years now and it's been the shittiest, slowest car I've ever driven in my life. I got it with 94000 miles on it and now it's got 121000. I've dubbed it the "Shit Box".

My proof?
-auto trans died after about 6 months of my ownership: $1600
-blew fuel injector and spark plugs: $500
-blew distributor cap: $250
-front and rear brake jobs after only a few months of driving: $400
-have severe oil and trans fluid leaks... must add fluid every week

Even after I bring the car in for regular maintenance at my local Nissan dealer/mechanic, it still seems that every 2-3 months or so there's a new problem.

I hate this car with all of my body.

My first car was a 1983 Nissan Stanza. This car was not very reliable. I bought in 1995 at 105,000 miles and sold it in 1998 with 140,000 miles. The carbuerator had to be replaced twice (thank god for the junk yard and my dad) The car would try and die at red lights so I had to put one foot on the brake and the other one the accelator to keep it running. My dad did a major work to this car pretty much rebuilding the whole engine. The water pump fell out of the car one time and I had to have it towed home. The worst thing was the car left me going only 20 mph on the freeway for the whole 30 miles of my trip home. It would loose water everyday so that had to be checked. I was very happy to get rid of this car. My advice buy a Toyota my dad has a 1991 standard manual pickup with over 500000 miles on it he has had no major problems just the normal wear and tear.
I have also owned a 1991 Celica good little car but was totaled, and now I own a 1994 Acura Integra very happy with this car, no major problems at it has 156000 miles on it.
