I have had a Hyper ofr around 4 months now and im getting tired of it. First thing to go on it was the indicators, they were turning on randomly by them selves and i couldnt turn them back off. must have been very annoying for other motorists and very dangerous for me on roundabouts when other motorists think i am turning off but i aint!!! That was easily resolved though with a new indicator switch.
Next to very recently was the back brake, this kept sticking to the drum and causing bike to vibrate.
Also lately while i was driving a heard a loud bang from the engine and i pulled over cos at first i thought i had hit something but then when i set off again hardly any acceleration and the bike is vibrating like im driving thru an earthquake!!!
Taken bike to garage but they said they cant cause the source of the problem so they cant fix it and for the labour they did checking the bike over trying to find out what was wrong they charge me £85!!! Does anyone know what might have gone bang in the engine and is causing the vibrations? email me on: [Log in to view email] It's not the pistons or the exhaust and its not the bearings i already asked the garage that.
I do have one good thing to say about them though, they have great boot space that is more than adequate and it also has this cool little light that comes on when you open the boot. i am going to miss when i get a new bike =(
But my advice is avoid hyosung hypers,. they are more trouble than they are worth!!!

I bought an import, from J&S. Fundamentally a good bike, and quite capable of a 100 mile round trip to work.
Problems: Exhaust broke in two at 3000k (vibes?) replaced without quibble by J&S although not covered by the aftermarket warranty. Oil leak from transmission at 4500km, fixed by myself (not covered) Gearbox driveshaft bearing failed at 6000 k, though in fairness It had been randomly squealing from new, I just didnt bother reporting it. Parts in stock (Bavanar) - ok prices. The official importers, provide really good service considering it was an import. Manual available. Yes, I'm reasonably happy with it, and would expect a GP2 with official dealer support to be much better.

A great scooter overall.
Great handling, fast (for its size) and low maintanance. However, rear drum brake caused many problems (sticking) until finally fixed for a huge £90 (had to be sorted twice!).
