I moved from a 33 to a 155 1.8TS Silverstone last summer. Once bitten; never seem to learn etc...
The 155 seems much roomier than the 33 and has a 'big car' feel with more refinements.
I like the power steering, ABS, leccy sunroof (when it works!) and aftermarket air con. Unlike others I find the seating/driving position quite comfortable and my lanky son has loads of room in the back. The boot is huge, but it lacks the hatchback versatility of my old 33. Torque-steer not as bad as the 33 but ride quality a little too firm, not helped by low-profile boots.
Handling/cornering is train-like compared with my mates old Golf which I swear would roll over if same cornering technique was used. Fuel consumption is mid 30s - better than my 1.5 33. Electrics are as dodgy as you'd expect from an older Alfa but are nearly always fixable. Don't forget that Alfa won the 1994 BTCC with similarly bodied cars. A very under-rated Alfa, as indicated by the fact that this is the first review of a 155 on this site.
I love it!
