The handling is superb and the power delivery from the rotary engine is quite unique - no camshaft; no power band.... The bike is surprisingly small and the riding position is not so sporty that the arms and back suffer as on some bikes! Race bred, the engine is not comfortable below 2,700rpm so town riding involves dropping a gear further than seems sensible. Like a 2 stroke, oil (Shell Rotella DD is prefered) is added to the fuel to lubricate the engine. You are not going to find this at your average "gas station" but it is not hard to get hold of and a tank gets you a long way. Overall this is a great bike, particularly if you want something a little different. Yes, they are expensive. But will they depreciate like a modern bike? They made between 120 and 140 depending on who you ask. After 10 years they sell for about 80% of their cost new! And they aren't making them anymore.... Go on, try one.
