A traditionally designed dayboat, gunter yawl rigged, easily trailed and launched. Can accommodate up to 5 adults as well as being sailed singlehanded. A delightful, easily maintained boat.
Very forgiving and sits well through very gusty conditions. I've added a bowsprit and cutter-rigged her, but use a Mirror mainsail under which she really pulls along. Also, for ease of mind have fordecked and side decked her.

Total novice recently bought this immaculate wooden classic, 'Cornish Maid'. Probably sailing her really badly but have found her slow but fun, comfortable and forgiving; would appreciate any good advice especially about use of the Mizzen.

The gunter yawl configuration makes it easy to handle. The mast fits inside the boat. Beamier and dryer than a drascombe. Slower in light airs, faster in heavier stuff. Good locker space and bouyancy.
