i bought this bike after passing my full test and within two days some dozy women pulled out on me and been an import no main dealer would touch it been a FZ400. so wat i did was say it was a yamaha fzs600 and borrowed my uncles frame and colour numbers. so i can get any part except for the engine.
Had mine a few months and I love it, when its working. I have had a lot of electrical problems, but mechanically its sound. My first big bike for a small lady and its just right. Very well behaved around town, lovely handling but over 7K revs and this bike can party with big boys! Most parts can be poached from the 600 including faring, but bulbs are specialist and expensive

This is a grey import from Japan - essentially a 400cc Fazer. It is a really nice bike to ride and makes a superb first big(ish) bike, but get the British spec. FZS600 Fazer instead. After a minor accident the bike was off the road for nearly six months whilst the garage tried to get parts. I have heard that this was just really poor on their part and that provided the garage have access to a parts book the parts can be here from Japan in a matter of days.
Owned for 2 years.
