Just had my 2002 Dero for coming up to a week now. Nice bike, a little high-revving and close-geared at the moment, (I'm used to my VT125C Shadow!), but I'm getting used to it! Had 70mph out of it, but that was at about 11,000rpm - a little close to redline for me when it's only done 400 miles!!!
All in all, it seems a great bike, and looks fantastic!!!
I bought my Varadero 125 only 4 months ago and i am very pleased, even though i had a Honda NSR125 before it which was soo powerful, i still think the Varadero is much better. The riding possition is fantasic, pulling of in a hurry is Very good and with a back box it can carry an anstonishing amount of weight. The only let down is the speed which is about 75mph MAX!!!! because the revs are at 10500 rpm by then. 9 out of 10.
I Bought my 125 dero 7 months ago ive put just over 1000 miles on the clock im a big lad (19 st)but the bike still does 70 mph ,Its a lot more comfortable than my last main bike which was a DR125 (2000 model)ive never seen a bike rust like this it had to go!! the one thing i do find with the varadero is the oil keeps creaming up and no i dont do short trips the minimum journey is 6 miles and the bike is at normal running temp after 2-3 miles any comments would be gratefully received thanks ps my other bikes are honda monkey,suzuki rv,yamaha xt 250.

Fantastic bike, if a little heavy. had a good 75mph on it. its my first bike so im now looking for something faster at 33.3bhp - any suggestions? Problems recently with revs droping very low, but a good long blat around surrey sorted that out - a brilliant way to start your 125 days!

good bike but needs to have more power too dear for many .comfortable for all day ride on a:b roads .only done 840 m good for us fat arses cos we look silly on cgs.good long term buy.
