We have had our 1.6 16v for two and a half years and it has been really reliable. We got it for a bargain price due to fast depreciation. It has a large boot (twice the size of the focus boot on brothers car). Lovely smooth drive, cruises well on the motorway. We are only going to sell as we are wanting something bigger still. Only downside is I find the design a bit bland but other half loves it.
Smooth drive, Comfortable cabin, Large boot.
Bit bland on design

I've owned my Fiat Brava for nearly three years now (bought it when it was 18 months old - R reg). So far, it's never let me down (you watch, I'll get in it tonight and it'll not start!). Only slight niggles have been electrical. Radio buttons have come loose is the most annoying but hardly serious problem. On the up side the car's comfotable round town (can get a bit uncomfortable on long trips) and generaly it's a smooth ride. Gearbox is a little clunky, getting into first can be a pain sometimes.
Mine's a 1.4 12v, got enough power for most things although I wouldn't think of taking-on the teenager in the Fiesta XR2 at the traffic lights. Mid-range on motorways is fine for a 1.4.
Running costs are very reasonable, although insurance is sky-high (that could be because I live in London and nothing to do with the car). Full tank costs about £30 and will get me (on the motorway) about 350 miles, perhaps more if I did 56mph all the way.
Passengers can get cramped in the back as 3 people is a squeeze, 2 is fine. Boot's ok in size, got enough room for about 2 suitcases and a sports bag. Not much more!
It's not a head-turner, nor is it riddled with toys, but it's comfortable, has reasonable running costs and I always enjoy driving it.
Brava sx1.6 Automatic I have had the car for around 6 months now and am very impressed with almost everything about it. The only concerns I have about it is the petrol consumption. I know automatics use above average amounts of petrol but a full tank at the cost of about £35 - £40 barely sees me through my weekly mileage of between 250 and 300 miles. I only paid £1800 for my car though with 16000 miles on the clock so I can`t complain too much can I!
5 dr 1.4sx brava owner a little miffed wiv dem damn wappy lectrics otherwise a sound robust car. performance ok for 1.4, fair brakes, gearbox a little notchy will crunch going into first whilst in motion. If your best mates an autosparky this is the ideal car for you
Had the car (1.8) for 6 years, done 118,000 miles with no problems. Good to drive, economical and goes well.
Owned for more than 5 years.

I love the car, it is great fun to drive. The engine in my car is a 1.6 16v, and it develops good/ broad band of power. The 5- speed gear box is extremly slick. I have however 2 problems with the car: 1) The brakes, my model is not fitted with ABS and although they are aceptable i think they could be better, as stopping is very important in the saftey department. 2) Reliability, the Italian electronics, are with out doubt of very low standard. My car has 91,435 kms on it, but over the last 7 months i have had to put it in the garage 3 times!! Minor problems, apart from a fuel line circuit that put it out for 1 week. I think i have just been unluckey because they are a overall a good drivers car, with sporty yet practical abilities. If you get it checked before you buy it, I am sure you will enjoy it.
Owned for 1 year.
