A thirty foot 4 berth Racing Yacht that planes! Long and narrow with a deep fin and bulb keel the Mustang 30 makes an excellent club and regatta racer with an inboard diesel and 4-6 berths. Easy to sail even with three crew (ideal 4-5) and comparable speed to a Sigma 33.
Cost from about £16000 for an late 1980's Mk1 to about £25000 for a late nineties one. Only 29 ever built, but come up 3 or 4 a year in Y&Y. Great performance, lovely looking boats, easy to maintain. IRC Handicap around 0.925 (equivalent to a PY of about 925).
Builder Harley Racebaots, Shephards Wahrf, Cowes, IoW, who tend to know when boats are coming up for sale.
