i own a kmx 125, bought it as a non runner and done it up as a super-moto i no a few things about bikes so if you need any help contact me... to gain better performance i would de-restrict the carb (in the reed block theres a plastic restriction simply pull it out). clean your kips up (it sounds pointless however a well oiled kips will make all the difference) and finally a Giannelli Exhaust System (http://www.stanstephens.com/exhausts.htm) £113 great value for money.

to help adam and sorry forgot your name i bought 2 months ago a kawasaki kdx (higher ground clearance box frame but same engine and better styling) for 575 it tops out at a ton (107mph on a cavalier speedo) ill have to decoke the kips soon it has a big one muffler standard (by the looks of it) front pipe i recomend getting a "big one" full exhaust (£120) getting it jetted getting a new filter (its bigger then a sh!t&n) replace the spring in the kips for a weaker 1 to derestrict it and ull blow everything away i ahd 2 dt owners takign the piss when i said it does 100 "yeah mate sure" then raced them on the duel carraigeway they topped out at 80 mine went off the clock my brother clocked me at 107 on his speedo so give or take 7mph) not a whimper from the engine but my local garage made up a load of excuses on the mot which my friend and i both mechanics couldnt find a problem on a long straight flat at 100 it feels boring though i so want a 600 next (though thatll probably feel slow ive been 160 on a 600 before zzzzz) but i highly recomend this bike my next bike will be a kamakaze kwakker
i have oned my 2001 kmx 8 months now and love it, the brakes arent the best ive used though as ive had them changed once but they have gone agn i really recomend this bike
Bought my KMX 125 '97 4 months ago. Only got a Big One tail pipe and K&N air filter but the fu*ker goes. KIPs powervalve system rocks, hit 7000rpm and nothing can catch them (as in 125cc). I was wondering does anyone know where i can find decent exhausts for it or any other cool mods to make my KMX the shit?

hi ther i ad a kmx 125 4 bout 6 months i got it 4 £400 it was a 94 ed and my god it ragged!! i done every thing u can think of 2 it apart from push it off a cliff. it never broke down + i lost da kik start 1 week after i got it so i ad 2 bump it every time. after the 5th month the gear selector got snapped off so i dun a bodge repair. then ma m8 f*^ked up a wheely and snapped off da front brake then i dun the same but 2 the clutch. so that was another bodge job in the end it was impossible 2 ride some1 bought it of me 4 £50 2 weeks later after a little tlc he sold it 4 £200. in short if u wanna cheap mess about bike 4 a field den get this 1!!
at first when i get my bike, i'm a little bit doubt about its performance, but after getting its technical problem, whoohaaaa it's like a monster on the highway. somebody attempt to beat me and they fail... One thing i like most on my bike is the suspension, you can preset its suspension accdg to the weight of the riders...
I'm 16 and have had a 1987 KX 125 for a year and I am looking for a new or re-conditioned bottom end or complete engine for it. If anyone could help email me at [Log in to view email] Thanks
I'm 15 and have had one of these beasts since 2002. Great bike! Its a 87 model and have ridden it practically every day since. Done tons of work to it but not to convinced that its fully derestricted. Any tips please email me at [Log in to view email]
Yea i got my KMX in 1998 brought it new. And i still got it today an use it everyday! For reliability you cant beat it! also with a bit of tuning an time an attention it can be brought up to speed very easily an cheaply. Before i had my KMX i had a DT an i found i was having to take it to the garage every couple of months cause somthing was wrong with it. With my KM i just stick it in for a service every 3 months an it costs me about 20-30 quid.
hey, i'm a girl whos looking at this for my first bike, the kmx 125 is the riht height for me and before you ask yes i can handle it. i just wanted to know whether you guys thouhgt its a good buy. thanks, tilly
i got a 1989 kmx125 for the field for £210. it was a reck but since ive done it up with its new engine rebuild which i replaced every thing apart from the bottom-end-bearing, all i can say is im proud i own 1! the K.I.P.S. is F**king fast when that kicks in. but ive decided to up-grade it because the suspension just cant handle moto-x tracks so im putting kx 125 suspension on it! although it has a 200cc exhaust fitted and a DEP pipe plus its been de-restricted i still want to make it go faster.
the bottom-end-bearing has now nakerd so i want to know if any 1 has got a kmx 200cc cylinder, cylinder head and piston thats un-damaged. i'm willing to chuck in a kmx 125 cylinder that has just had the bore re-done by kawasaki for £150 and also the cylinder head that has just been skimmed for £30, only if you will knock a fair bit of the price for the kmx 200cc cylinder, cylinder head and piston.
please contact me if you have what i'm looking for!!!
