The 1.6 110bhp Diesel must be one of the most economical adult 5 seater cars available in the UK. The 110bhp 1.6 engine is a gem, it pulls like a train yet has lower emissions (only 131g/km) than the 92 bhp 1.6 and the 2.0 litre engines. On a run you can get over 600miles on a tank of diesel. It is supremely comfortable and a brilliant family vehicle.
2.0 HDI is excellent. Looking around for a replacement vehicle now but cannot see anything on the market as good. Fuel pump failed in first year but quickly replaced under warrantry. Nice to drive, comfortable, plenty room and VERY economical. Fully intend to buy another one.
Excellent value for mpney. Loads of space for passengers and luggage. Get the 1.8 16v as you will appreciate the extra power. Interior not inspiring but adequate. If you've got the dosh invest in the exclusive and it isn't much more that the SX and you get lots more toys, climate, sunroof, alloys, etc
2.0hdi Good Points 50+M.P.G. loads of room, cheap parts and insurance, great tow car, well worth fitting engine management chip now 120 B.H.P. thats 30 bhp extra for £400. bad points : spare wheel stolen, dashboard glare, rattles in front doors, brake judder.
great car but citeron know their is a problem with spare wheels been stolen and not letting owners know trouble is they take the spare the jacks inside it bill 100pounds then say we will sell you a cast iron bracket or a 75pound modifecatio it takes 2mins to bend and take the spare and put the craddle back you dont know till you need it because you cannot see it without looking under but all in all a good car
A fantastic car with the comfort to which I have never seen before great MPG with the HDI 2.0 58+ per gallon. plenty of room all in all a fantastic car good for towing caravans as well.

I have experienced a number of faults with the car which I will outline but the most disapponting aspect is service backup. Fault1 : Loss of turbo Symptoms : Loss of power / black belching smoke / turbo whine Solution: Returned to dealer TWICE!! Fault2: Steering linkage recall Sympton: none Solution: Return to dealer TWICE!! ( They wanted to check they had done it correctly. I went to another dealer..they hadn't done it correctly) Fault3: Non-cancelling indicator( intermittent problem) Symptom: Indicating right when you're turning left Solution: On-going. Returned to dealer twice!!

Owned a diesel for a year now. On the whole not bad but two niggles. In sunlight the dashboard causes terrible reflection onto the windscreen, a dangerous problem. Secondly in winter, the car is always misted on the inside and takes about 10 minutes to clear even with aircon switched on.

Wonderful car, very spacious, excellent array of gadgets, handles like a dream, massive boot space, great economy, great looks for an MPV. Driving position is brilliant its just up a tad higher than a car and give excellent all round visibility. Fron pillars can get in the way when turning right though. Highly recommended.
