Have owned my series 3 Vogue for almost 18 years now. Has never needed much in the way of parts, albeit some items taht wear over time like brake master cylinder now hard to find as Lockhhed no longer make them.

My Vogue is now 40 years old and has never been restored. Designed in a time when economy was not a priority and only a handful of cars like the e'type could exceed 100mph.

These cars (there are less than 300 Singer Vogues left worldwide out of 49,000 produced) represent a super buy at about £1,500 for a good one. The walnut trimming is from the same batch as used by Rolls Royce at the time and the interior of the Vogues were assembled by hand by 4 craftsmen.

These cars may not be fast# by modern standards (but will still cruise at 60-70 if required) but they bring a 'feelgood@ semse to the driver and the public who will always stop to look at it.

(# A Singer Vogue competed and did very well in the original Monte Carlo rally as well as other gruelling road rallies of the time, so it does indeed have a sporting pedigree)

i bought a 1962 singer vogue and it took me some time to restore. i drive it around almost every day and i got to say that is a fun car to drive, a bit heavy on the roads and hard to turn steering but hey its my pride and joy. it did shut me down -twice on the same day but , like old faithful it brought us home.

My dad had a second hand Singer Vogue back in the late 60's/early 70's. I believe it was a MKII (1795cc ?). It was a real beauty, blue & cream, with blue leather interior. The registration would be worth a bob or two these days as it was " 2 EVA ".
I learned to drive in this leviathon, as it seemed at first, but I soon got used to it and after passing my test, have many happy memories of my travels in the car.
It's over 30 years ago now, but I can't remember anything but great times.

Maybe thats why I now drive a 75.

I owned a 64 Vogue from new thru 1970 when it was replaced with a 71 Rover 3500 V8. 30 years later and eleven more cars on, I can say without any doubt that the Vogue was the biggest piece of shit I have ever owned.

1966 D reg 4 door sallon. 1725cc alloy head, 4 speed, no overdrive. Comfortable (like your favourite armchair), big slab of wood for a dashboard, goes round corners like an ocean going yacht, but great fun. I'll never sell it!

My Dad had a beutiful Singer Voguem Foam Grey with a red roof. It was his pride and joy. We kept it in the family for 21 years. It was beautiful quality car, a real working mans Rolls Royce. Why cant they make cars like that anymore ??

I had a 1965 Vogue mk three in the early 1980's. It ios with out doubt a beautiful vehicle to look at. Supply of parts wasn't to much of a problem then, as the Vogue had many comman mechanical parts with the Humber septre and the Hillman super minx.

However I found rust on the wings and boot floor a big headache and the hydrolic clutch a nightmare to maintain.

I sold her in 1984.
