I bought this from Mr Norman Taylor, one of the three brothers that made up 'Jack Taylor Cycles'. It rides like a dream, I'm 6'1' tall and weigh 182 lbs, so I need a bike that is stiff and reliable - this one is made of 531 competition - the weight is a little bit scary, 28lbs of bicycle, but when you think that Miguel Indruain raced a slightly sub 25lbs bike, and that Eddie Merycx frames are 5-6lbs you appreciate that as long as you don't psyche yourself out over the weight issue, you've reall got a lovely bike, that will climb with the best of them because it is so stiff, yet it handles touring beautifully. Sorry, that's 28lbs with touring equipment (mudguards, triple, touring wheels and tyres but not panniers). I rode mine across the Pyrenees in the Raid Pyreneen (crossing in less than 100 hours) and it was just great. Comfortable, and you never feel demoralised because the frame is just so well made, comfortable, and lovely to look at. I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't neurotic about having the lightest cycle possible. Put two hundred and fifty miles into this frame in a single day and the only thing sore will be your legs. Best wishes, Mark

Mine is a beautiful Jack Taylor touring bicycle that I purchased from the Taylors in 1963. It is a twenty three inch frame, flamboyend green with double box lineing, still in excellent condition. I no longer bicycle and it is for sale.
