A coupe body on the Alfasud floor pan, styled by Guigiaro and with the traditional Alfa engine qualities and handling. Unfortunately, it also had the familiar Alfa rust problems.

I own a 1.5 Sprint Veloce. To drive it is a wonderful experience. Many Alfisti overlook the Alfasud due to it having FWD. But on the move you can't tell. It corners so well, there is not hint of under or oversteer even on damp roads. The engine is so sweet and the gear change, drop in some synthetic oil and it's something rather special, unlike the tin box full of spanners on a GT/V6. I love all Alfas, but the Sud range was a budget performance car with simple mechanics and the sprint, well it's just so damn pretty (shame about the skirted ones).
