Hi there all those other silver cross junkies. I wanted a proper pram (as I call them) for my first baby but could never afford one,so the next two pregnancies were spent buying and cleaning ,polishing, selling several prams and pushchairs until I had enough money for my pram.It is stunning I love it to bits at well over £1000 it is worth every single pennny.! It is a limited edition and has its own special number. My little girl fell in love with it also so we ended up travelling for half aday to get to someone that was selling a junior version from the 60's.(then half a day back)It's lovely both of us going out together with our beautiful prams matching quilt sets and sun canopies in the summer and pram bags matching as well. The amount of people I have met and that just walk up to me even when I'm not using the pram are amazing. It's always your the lady that I see walking miles with that lovely real pram! Then tell me their pram stories.I have since getting my pram learnt of babybirds.co.uk which are very helpfull for all spares.
looks wonderful, safe, good view for rider as well as pusher.

WANTED ANY OUT THERE FOR SALE.???????????
I have 1980's Marmet coach built pram with detachable body and folding chassis, used for my own chidren and many neices and nephews. Unfortunately the chassis is very badly rusted and requirs professional treatment. Perhaps rechroming Anyone know who could help?

I had a Wilson Pram for my 3 Children best pram ever. I wanted a coach built pram for my grandchild two years ago. I was lucky I found a Marmet Tenby Pram in a charity shop. Hardly used. loved pushing her around in it. Stopped by many people giving me compliments on it. I have just got I think it is a Burley Silver Cross wants a bit of tender loving care but i will get there. Second Grandchild on the way but my daughter does not share my passion for silver cross prams silly girl. So i have to get rid of my Marmet Pram as she does not want it. Oh well i am sure there will be someone who wants it.
I had Silver Cross prams for my seven children. You can imagine the stares I got living in Colorado,U.S.A. I found an old Marmet,?1970's in a junk shop and it needs more than a lot of help.I think Silver Cross parts will fit.
I bought a Marlborough pram second hand for my grandaughter. They are fantastic prams and I love to show her off matching her pram covers to her outfits. The pram has a white body and navy hood and apron so it complements everything. Only problem I have is finding a rainshield big enough to go over the hood right down to rest on the stormcover. Rainshield I have found come just part of the way down the windflap. Anyone got any ideas where I can buy one or does anyone have a spare one they are willing to sell. (Clear plastic shield must measure more than 21") If so please contact me at [Log in to view email]
I have owned a Wilson Egremont pram since 1969. It has carried my 3 children and 2 of my 3 grandchildren. It is still in pretty good condition though I am going to have a new hood and apron fitted and new tyres. I'm also thinking of going into restoration of this type of pram. It is such a shame that they are so hard to get these days. So easy to push and safe and comfortable for your baby.
ive finally managed to get a silver cross marlborough at a bargain price, it needs a few repairs..new leather straps and hood recovering, anyone know of a good place thats cheap and will recover. I need this pram up and running in 4 weeks and very little cash left i cant wait to start pushing it around:0)
i had a silver cross silver dawn which had been passed down to me - it was gorgeous .But as all my children were boys i thought i would pass it on to another "new" mum who would love it ! imagine my horror when I found out I was pregnant on the day i was to be sterilised !! I had given everything away so if anybody out there has an "old" silver cross , wilson pram with the foot wells i would love to buy it off you or does anybody know of a supplier ! thank you claire xx
Our for children have now outgrown the Wilson I was given so it's time to send it to another good home. It always invited comment at the school ! Anyone know what they are worth ?
I have a SXWilson Mulliner I have had since new in 1973 and used it for my last 3 out of 7 children, my 128 fosterbabies, all but my last 2 grandchildren [they'll soon ride in it]out of 8 grandchildren and numerous babies I have babysat. I have had the hood and apron redone once and am on my 3rd set of tyres but the original paintwork and chrome are still gleaming--the newer ones such as the marlborough now balmoral are fine but I prefer the Brit wheels and rubber tyres over the dutch caja ones--here in Canada they are very noisey in the winter as the vinyl freezes in the cold. In answer to the query about silver cross all terrain pushchairs. Silver cross produced the Land Rover range of pushchairs which are excellent (the best I have ever used) off road. However the last I knew the new company was producing the old style prams (which I also love) but not the Land Rover range. My best advice therefore is to try to get hold of one second hand, or try the Mountain Buggy, which is also a very good range although just slightly heavier. I hope this helps.
I love the Silver X Marlborough Pram that I own at the moment. I bought it secondhand for £350, my husband keeps telling me to sell it, but I will regret it, I foster and I have had numerous babies sleeping in it during the day, had wonderful walks with it, and had a 3 year old propped on the end, and does it shine!!!! I am looking for a hub cap for my 1975 Wilson pram. I love it! It will easily carry 2 kids and groceries. It has gone through 8 kids ( not all mine by the way!)If anyone can help me that would be great.
i have a silver cross tenby pram bought 1979 for my first child have kept it in beautiful condition and now am pushing 5 month old grandchild in it-people are more interested in the pram than the baby! i love pushing it but unfortunately one of the wheels has buckled so am looking out for a set of large wheels anyone got spares?
I have a wonderful Grey Carlton, £15.00 from a charity shop. I get old ladies coming up in the street grabbing the handle and running off with my child, just to bring back happy memories of their own children! I would love to find a matching bag though, any ideas?
