I have own a Seaforth for seven years in which time ihave cruised her from Portsmouth to Southern Ireland.South Brittany Coast 4 times,North Spanish Coast (Gijon).I have covered some 8000miles sea miles in that time. She is a heavy vessel and requires about 12kn and above to sail well,if you except she is a motor sailor she is a pleasure to be on.

Standing headroom throughout,a comfortable cabin and acomplete covered in cockpit.
She does not beat well due to the bilge keels but they have there advantage when cruising

I have owned a Macwester Seaforth for the last 10 years we have coverd many miles sailing on the East Coast and in the Wash We allways Feel safe and secure even in bad weather we have looked at various other boats but allways come back to the Seaforth realising that nothing in the price range comes anywhere near what we have with the Seaforh Under the sircumstances We hav embarke on a masive refit which has taken 8mnts so far with about 3 mnths stil to go

Very roomy and stable in all sea states Masive lay up of hull and super structure
Not the best of performers in light airs and so needs to be motor sailed in any thing uder about a force 4

There were two versions of the Seaforth
Ketch built , a long keel version and a
bilge keel and skeg version .

The long keel version sails exceedingly
well and readily outpaces the twin keel
version in performance and speed.

Very safe and sea kindly vessel with
deep cockpit.

Going Astern is always somewhat of a
risky business .
