got two rothmans standard having terry shep pipes done in jan £700 ouch this bike needs these pipes to remove atac as the other one has the atac removed and is a different bike cannot keep front down not had any problems yet! got rgv wheels and forks to fit gonna get it dyno when pipes fitted good built solid jap classic that might be old but can still match or beat moden sport bikes in its class
my dads got the ns 400 r and we have had no probelms with the machine its a perfect bike and a good all rounder. its got a good performance rate aswell because its not only a quick bike but its also very clean and a constant realise of power it doesnt just jump into the power band and burn past tones of bikes but stataly builds up to to it which is great fun when your riding it.
Ultimate good time stroker. I've just bought another one to replace my orignal bike from 10 plus years ago, I have such happy memories of it.
Ace handling and addictive power delivery, now cheap insurance and beautiful build quality. Downsides are high maintenance and a thirst for unleaded, Castrol TTS and tyres. What the hell!
Eats the 4 stroke 400/600 brigade hands down.Handling and brakes unreal.The standard cans sound naff,get some Terry Shepherd pipes,dump the ATAC and the thing revs its nuts off.These babies eat tyres/brakes and drink fuel,but its classic insurance.Its a rare machine but that adds to its addictive appeal. Mine cost £1400,David Silver best 4 spares.
Fancy a new rear tyre and a front set of pads every 2500 miles and 25 mpg? I did and want to again,this thing is addictive & expensive to run but my God is it fun!! Goes round bends like its on rails,good below 7500rpm, then the power kicks in.Old but still got it!!!
Great classic GP rep from big H. Needs typical stroker TLC to keep in trim but rewards with a usable powerband and sweet handling. B roads most fun. DEP end cans work well. All this from 387cc in 1985. Be different! Signed: Fred

Habe die NSR jetzt seit 11Jahren. Bin voll zufrieden. Auch wenn mittlerweile die Technik alt ist, kann man ganz gut die "Neuen" ärgern. Habe mich nicht verkauft. Versuche NSR noch 10 Jahre durch zu fahren.
