I bought one of these bikes around two months ago of ebay, as my first motorbike to learn on, and with that in mind it does the job great. Its very easy to handle on the road, and i have no problems with it what so ever. If your looking at this bike to learn on or even to commute, its well worth it. The only down side i can think of for this bike is the parts avaliability, since they dont make them anymore there are some parts that are hard to get, for example i have scratched the end exhaust cover, and am wanting to get a new one but cant find one anywhere!! and also the top speed, i can get around 65mph topps in good conditions, so not to bad. But overall.....Awesome bike :)

Very reliable, and very comfy riding position
Top speed could be abit better

my first bike...i have nothing to compare it to except the cg125 which i passed my cbt on. I am 6'4" and it doenst look too small even for me. This bike was really the only option for my height. The only problem i had with it initially is that the chokes off position is down not up so it was a little confusing to start with. Great fuel economy, i get 120 mpg out of mine and i am not the lightest of people. If you can find one of there i would seriously consider it. top speed is 60 - 65 for me (with the wind!!)

great around town, very economic. looks cool.
its only a 125.....errr thats about it.

Excellent, This is a grate bike, Very economical, Looks good and excellent to nip around traffic.
Servicing at my local garage is expensive(£120). But you can change the oil and spark plug yourself for about £10.
Had no problems yet, still running nice. Engine is a little noisey when under full throttle but will cruise well at 50 mph no problems. I can't seem to get more than 60 mph out of the bike but still a good ride.

Excellent for a tall person. I am 6' 2" and the bike doesn't look still and small on me.

Excellent bike !!!!!

Economical, Smooth ride, Looks good
Noisey under full throttle

its a great bike easy to get parts for but doesnt handle so well off road though thats probably the tires might fit some noblys the only problems ive had with this bike are sliding on black ice someone going into the back of me, a falling branch smashing my mirrors, bolts holding the back wheel on came loose and someone cut my fuel line, ive only had it one month someones out to get me!!! ps none of that was a problem caused by bthe bike itself

An answer to a person question : The Cityfly comes in Orange and Green ,unfortunatly Honda have just replaced it with a new more drastically designed off road 4 stroke - which is hardly the most sensible choice for a x-er! lol Here is my bike, 150miles, 1 owner, brand new condition, selling for £2000 to allow to get a Yamaha, theres NOTHING wrong with the bike, excellent performer, top 65mph! please see link or contact me :-)

well what can i say, as a 17 yr old lad, i love the damn thing. recently bought it 2nd hand for £1450 and it is in perfect nick (previous owner got it serviced every 2 weeks!!) just a question, although the orange mudguards look pretty cool, are there any other colours available? just out of interest. anyway, very pleased with the nike, yet to take it off road but will soon enough. and 75mph ent bad for a 125... right?

Bought a CityFly last year, it's the first motorbike i've had.
Fast acceleration, stable riding, four stroke, perfect seat, perfect handling, economic, pretty. It's not fast, but still a great ride. It's a rare sight, and that makes it even better, when you see another one once in a summer or so.

After buying a windscreen for it, it looks a lot bigger bike, and i've noticed how the other motorists have started greeting me when they drive by. If you have any extra money, i suggest you buy a windscreen for it.

The Cityfly is truly a great learner/commuter bike. I bought mine used (£1800) from a dealership 8 months ago and it's my first bike. I've had no problems with it so far, the only maintenance being oiling the chain and cleaning it (occasionally).
Sure, its not that fast but it's perfectly snappy enough for riding around London. As a new rider it also means that you can't really get yourself into trouble - touch wood!
I can't really comment on other 125's as this is the only one I've owned but it is way cooler than a CG125 and a lot cheaper/economical than an RS125 or NSR125.
Initially, I only planned on keeping the bike for a short period but I like it so much I'm going to keep it longer. It's a great bike and if you can find one - buy it!

A 125 that looks like a cool trailie.
The performance isnt great, but its a
125! what do you expect! For twon riding
its excellent, the high seat gives
a great view of the road, and its easy
to nip through the smallest gap as the
Cityfly is quite narrow. Its been very
reliable and is economical to run. A
great little 125 that will do just about
anything in style.

Great town bike, overpriced when new
(£2500) but excellent if bought 2nd
hand,
Way cooler than a CG125, but still as
cheap to run (tank of petrol? £7,
servicing? £50), highish seat but that
allows you to look over traffic, narrow
for slicing through the gridlock with
enough performance to make scooter
riders and cars drivers look foolish,
also some respect from "proper" bikers,
long travel suspension deals with
potholes that scooters disappear into
with ease. About as easy to ride as it
possibly could be and in the 10 months
that I owned it I NEVER once had any
problems with it (100% reliable).

Being a single cylinder it requires
regular oil changes but that's really
about it, and besides it's not as
though small dealers will charge a lot
to change to oil..heck you could even
do it yourself in 10 minutes if you
could be bothered...

Things I didn't like? Well...on the
open road it doesn't have enough go
(but what 125 does?)

Recommend? sure..beats any other
125 'cos it gives you the best of
everything, probably the best all-round
125 you can buy..

I got mine new and have 10.000Km on it, so far no problem except from a dead battery (9000Km) that runs normally after a good charge, but from what i know the battery can never be the subject for testing a bike.
Change oil every 2000Km oil the chain and that's it. It runs perfectly.
The highest speed I ever got (with or withouth passenger the same) was 110 Km/h very good for a 125cc.
But it starts really quickly and has a very nice acceleration up to 60-70 so for the city its perfect. It is named CITYfly after all

Again, a great bike. Bought one new a couple of years back and have loved every minute of owning it.

Great fun in town, the more traffic the better. Comfortable ride position and can be slid if you try hard enough. Benefits for putting slicks on it although means you can no longer take it off road.

Performance isn't too good on open roads but stick to the city or little country roads and it's the best you'll find.

A grear learner bike (is my first) and benefits from much cheaper insurance than NSRs etc. Looks great, especially for a 125.

Overall fantastic!!!!!

Really great learner bike, not so fast and not much grunt, but it's a 125 so you can't expect that much really.
Chrome needs to be looked after reguarly or it starts to rust slightly but if kept in good nick, looks fantastic.
One tip though, don't keep it at 60 - 65mph for too long at regular periods like I did or the engine will start to cut power suddenly without warning.
very annoying, but should never happen if you ride sensibly...
