A real ocean-going boat, great in the ocean waters off the coast of British Columbia. This boat has gone through many a storm that would have overwhlemed a lesser boat. I would add a bow sprit and a bow thruster.

She is highly suitable for extended
motorsailing coastal cruising and also
proved her sailing abilities through
long passages. Banjer 37 motorsailers
can be found as far as in Papua, New
Guinea, pretty far away from her
original home waters.

We love our Banjer! She never fails us, and we leave our regular rag friends in our wake all winter when the wind fails!
We also seem to have a lot fewer breakdowns. Amaising since she is 32 years old! We worry about the big windows in the pilot house in rough seas and will probably mount some kind of covers for them for wild situations.

I own my Banjer for 2 years. Used to
sail fast yachts (racing)at sea, and
never knew that sailing at sea could be
so comfortable. A Banjer behaves like
a darling, even in the highest seas,
she is rather fast for such a strong
and heavily built motorsailer (I had a
bowsprit mounted)and feels at her best
when winds are over 20 knots. This
weekend I had over 40 knots at the
windmeter between Harlingen and
Terschelling (Dutch Waddensea)but with
staysail and mizzen we made 5 knots in
comfort.

The Banjer is a very solidly built boat
made like a small tanker. She sails
better than you would think particularly
if a bow sprit is added.
The wheelhouse is a super plus to have
sheltering you from both the sun and the
rain.
