First new caravan that we have purchased after twenty towing years. A little tight in the work surface area but compensated by the luxury of not having to mess about making and dismantling the bed. Storage under the double bed is massive however care needs to be taken on where the weight is distributed. Front seating area is a little smaller than the norm but entirely adequate for two people. The caravan should be classes as a double birth with extra bed space for the odd night or two. Very impressed with the finish and all round cupboard space. Only criticsm is of the cooker which have knobs which can be turned on by mistake, not a problem when the work surface is down.
The Major and I bought this caravan secondhand when it was just 5 months old. as first timers we looked long and hard for the caravan that was right for us. the onyx is a superb model in the fixed bed range, excellent build quality, removable carpets, and well thought out. the only glitch is lack of work space in kitchen. other than that we would say 'buy buy buy!
