Purchased new in 1996. No problems whatsoever in the first three years. Then the rubber seals on the windows started to rot and we have had problems with flys getting into the van whilst locked up. Thought this was the are we were in but we have a contact in another area with exactly the same problem which led to them changing their van. Otherwise a good all round family van.
we own a 1988 swift rapide 14/4 and with a huge window at the rear we have loads of light. it is spacious and extremely comfortable , with a little bit of love and care , caravanners on a budget just can,t go wrong with this lightweight little van. we updated the interior a little with new curtains and a bathroom makeover. I have yet to find a new van as light or as spacious as this. On the downside no hot water heater look out for models with newly fitted ovens and water heaters and they will be a steal.

A good sound easily towable caravan. The swift rapide 450GXL offers 5 Berths with a van of internal length of 14ft 3 inches. Good use of space and towable by most medium sized family cars. The compact nature of this van makes it very appealing.

This 4 berth caravan was brought in 1988.
The only problem I have with it is window size, you do not get that much daylight in, the windows seem to be too small.
We have a carver heater and a zig charger unit.
We recently had to put new tryes on and a hitch but other than that she is pretty cost efficient.
