bought a honda 2yrs ago fell in love with. Ive don 30,000 since then, lately had some costly problems from cambelt broken, then enginine overheating (cause eventually found the radiator problem not head gasket!well so the garage says, they still charged me the labour even though it wasnt the problem with the head! can you believe it.
All in all a great smooth car but like any mechanical device it does break down (and of course its 2nd hand!!!). Ive probably paid double for the car over two years from the purchase price.

I love my Honda Concerto. Unfortunately it is damaged in recent accident and the insurers are writing it off. i feel very sorry however I am looking for some parts like driver door and the same side mirror. If I can get those I shall revive it and use for another decade atleast.

Up until very recently i was a Ford driver through and through. But since buying my Honda Concerto 1.6i 16v dohc i havnt looked back. Its like stepping in to a limo evry time i drive it. Considering it has over 200000 on the clock it runs like a new car. But then reading this site its not alone on that. I just cant praise the car enough i say car its like a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Excellent performance and reasonable economy depending how you drive it. Both come from the excellent efficency of the engine, Hondas greatest strength. Quality throughout the car is high and only the suspension betrays the car as a ordinary family car. Fix that and you got yerself a very cheap and reliable small sports car. 1.6i-16 is my model, I thank Parkers for their recommendation :D

Was extremely cheap to buy my 1.6i 16v 5dr 1990 second hand, goes like shit off a shovel and has never caused me a bit of trouble save needing new plugs and minor repairs at MOT. Surprisingly no corrosion problems except exhaust pipe in the 3 years I've had it.

My 1.6i-16 Concerto has more than 200.000 kms and it seems it won't stop! I've had several problems i have to admit, but since it has 11 years alreay...! Simply outstanding for a common family car, with the pure feeling of a track car! :)

In one month my car will be 13 years old......My father bought it new, in 1991.Its was he's every day car , used in work....Now almost 13 years later, with more about 300000Km , the car is in my youth hands(Im 18), and I make him suffer a little bit....but the car doesnt mind. Its only a 1.4L ,16V, 90Hp, but it never stops......Very comfortable and very fun to drive.....basicly ...........its a Honda!!!

I have the 1.6i-16V, SE, M reg with air con and leather. It is a car that is very much under-estimated. The performance is suprising and the ride is as good as most new cars. To improve the look I took the original alloys off and put some 15's on. With a K&N and rear box it made it even more quicker. With 100K on it, which half of it is done by me, it is still a great to drive.

I have owned my 1.6I-16v for 12 years and it's been a joy to drive. The engine is superb and even with an auto box she can still hurry along when asked. Had to replace cv joints and track rod ends last year but with 186k on the clock I can't complain.
