These cars are really quick (considering) ok, they wouldn't touch a Peugoet GTI or a Ford XR2 but they're damn nippy for a family 'wagon'
I used to own one. They're right rust buckets but spares are not as hard to find as you'd expect. The car is half civic and half Rover 200. Most of the bodypanels can be substituted for Rover 200 items. The suspension, driveshafts, engine and running gear is from the Honda Civic. The only oddity is the front end, with custom lights, front panel and bonnet. These probably would be rare.
This car is about the best looking Rover 200 / Proton saloon-style cars around. That sweeping front end looks lovely in comparison to its rivals (like the Nissan Sunny).
You get a good solid Honda engine and box, decent comfy interior, central locking, power steering and brakes that would stop a 747! Negatives? No leccy windows (unless you get the flash Injection model) and fairly basic instrumentation. and - They RUST LIKE BUGGERY. and (one last thing) Insurance is a high group 7! - because its Japanese (or some such lame excuse)
Oh, and the fuel economy is incredible. Does twice the mileage of my current ford. If you can find a rust-free one BUY IT!
