I bought a Z3 in Jan. this year,I have had a motor bike but sold it and saved up a bit more money for a weekend toy,I saw this advertised and got it for a bargain price, winter is a great time to buy a convertable car,I wanted a 6 cylinder as I thought the 4 cylinders might be a bit under powered,I have had it for 6 months and I love the car its nice to drive a real eyecatcher and parts from my local motorfactors are cheap a set of break pads cost about £18,and I asked about front discs and were told they were £19 each.I have not bought anything from a main dealer yet,all in all a great car.
Classic shape, very good build quality.Very fast off the mark.
Rear plastic window gets worn and hazy, around £100 for a new one
Reviewing a 1999 model.
Electric hood.
Owned for 6 months.
Owned BMW Z3 1.9i Covertable for 2 years.. I cannot fault it in anyway. A pleasure to drive with brilliant preformance and great fuel consumption for a sports car. (Average 38 - 40mpg)
Recommend buying from Belgium. Save over £4500. Do it yourself - the import agencies can tend to charge a premium for something which is actually very little effort.
Owned for 3 months.
