I live in Australia, and i have had my Eunos 30x 1.8L V6 for about a year. I personally think it is the most gutless car i have ever driven. that is probably because the piston rings are heavily worn, and it has low compression, but even if it was in good working order, i dont see how you can get much power out of it with such tiny bore and stroke dimensions.the reason i bought the car is because of its looks, not power output. i love the car because of how rare it is, and in 3 weeks i am putting a 2.5 L V6 out of a mazda mx6 in it, this will give it the power to match its looks. anyone in Australia who knows where i can get a bodykit for the Eunos please email me.
Im impressed with the Mazda MX3 1845cc V6 I bought recently, it drives well smooth but sturdy, handles like a sports car, and the v6 engine is a beauty but is a little thirsty on fuel especially with the U.K petrol price being so expensive. A good second hand sport coupe, a lot of car for your money.
Help! I am buying my first ever car and was initially thinking of a Nissan, Toyota or Honda. However, have just seen gorgeous Mazda Eunos Presso (1992) with 1800 engine (V6). It's got 136,000 and is going for NZ $5000 (£1925). Would you guys recommend it? Do these cars guzzle a lot of fuel? Are they reliable? I don't know a great deal about Mazdas but it was lovely to test [Log in to view email]
I've had my little mx3 for about eight weeks i think it's lovely although in the last week i've had problems . It's a 1.6 auto 1993 with full mazda history but a little under powered i thought. Got in it last thursday sounded like a helicopterwas sitting on my roof took it to garage rear wheel bearing £237 ARRRGH strange i thought as these where both replaced last year and I've got the same noise the other side now.Can anyone tell me if this is common and what else might go wrong
Im in Australia where the MX3 is called the Eunos 30x. i have had mine for 2 months and in that time i must say that despite being over 10 years in design, the looks and performance and quality of this car are first rate. The value of the car has come down quite considorably so if you are able to get your hands on one they make excellent buying. brilliant car...absolutely awesome!10/10
I have one and have had it for 5 years, its never had any real problems but when it does it can be expensive. I have had new HT leads £125 for the V6 and a new vacuum pipe on the air filter £70. These are typical Mazda problems the other been rear brake calipers they tend to cease at anything after 50k miles I am looking for some now. I think the brake problem is sorted on cars Post 95. I love it I had never owned a car for more than 2 years before this one. Lots of wheels fit and it really does look better with bigger wheels. If you want to see some MX3 pics Cardomain.com has loads the car is really popular in USA and Canada.
Never had a problem with My MX3 always started never broken down Only problem I have is Iam having to sell it as baby forces sale But I DONT Really want to get rid of it
Fantastic performing, briliantly reliable sports car. Interior is a bit dull but chassis steering brakes and engine make for a fantastic drive. Get one if you can, they represent unbeleivable value for a very stylish performance coupe. Oh, not much room in the back but a pretty big boot, well big enough for golf clubs, weekly shop, moving flat etc.
hi! i paid $2000 USD for my car, and i live in California. its very rare and unique, and most people have no idea what i'm driving! :) not to mention the V6 makes this car faster than most of the other cars in its class! i love the extras you can buy too, such as body kits and the JDM kl-ze engine, which boosts it to about 200hp. for a daily commuter, it gets great gas mileage. for the weekend racer, it provides awesome power! :D
reg previous post from "unknown" can you tell me what grade of mobil 1 engine oil you used to eliminate the tapping noise on your mx3 please... my v6 engine is doing the same :( thanks

I'm in New Zealand where the MX3 is called the Mazda Eunos Presso. I have a manual 1.8 V6. The car is over 10 years old but it's the most incredible car - fast and smooth. Only problem I've had with it so far is the battery had to be replaced - but that's no wonder because of it's age. Brilliant car - excellent :)

Tapping noise on engine can be eliminated by replacing oil and fiter using Mobil 1. It worked on my MX-3 V6 Eunos.
